My radiator core support is looking pretty sad. I want to replace it whIle my engine is out and have some questions. The car is a 1968 camaro.
1. Can I leave the fenders in place while I replace it?
2. What brand would you guys recommend? I like the price of the one at npd, but worry I will get what I pay for.
Thanks,
-Joe

Go with AMD. Fenders have to be separated a little to lift out core support, tilt support to engine side as much as possible. Usually the fenders do not have to be removed.

Thanks. Can it be pulled out toward the firewall or does it have to come out through the front?

I second the AMD core support. Once you get in there you will see how the core support comes out. It is really no big deal. I replaced my support in about three hours. I purchased my support and then waited to install it until I needed to remove the radiator for other reasons.

My radiator and engine are about to go back in. That's why I figured I'd do it now.
