Gear Vendors Overdrive, new TH400 Have a new GV overdrive that was purchased in 2004 for a car that was never finished. Guy died before the car was finished, and I bought it. So I had the receipt for purchase of the GV and tons of other stuff. Yes it is the most recent type of GV. It was mocked up but never used. I've just decided to go the 4L80e route instead.
The only thing you'll need is a new gasket where the 6" adapter for the TH400 attaches. Its new but through handling it got ripped. Easy enough to make, or get one from GV. I'm also not sure what I did with the installation instructions, but thats available from GV as well.
I have the control box, wiring, speedo cable, etc.
I also have the rebuilt turbo 400 trans the GV was bolted to when I got the car and it is for sale separately or with the GV but it is not a BOP transmission (guy's car was a 70 impala conv).
The part # 3DFS400A listed on my receipt shows a kit for a 4" tailhousing TH400.
For whatever reason, this is the $2795 kit from them, not the $2695 one. So $495 off their new price is my price...$2300 plus shipping. Listing it here and one other spot first before it goes to ebay. If you want that rebuilt TH400 with it, then $2800.
I can also arrange to have it delivered to Norwalk, OH if prepaid. I have a friend going there for a Pontiac event at the beginning of Aug. Will try to get pics up shortly but I wont hold it pending pics. Its going to the 1st "I'll take it" by PM.
