Corvette filter/regulator bad for Aeromotive pumps?

Has anyone heard this or had experience with it? Buddy of mine said that the other day, wondering what others have seen/heard.

We've used them on a lot of walbro and aero motive pumps.. Haven't had any issues to date

I am using one of a 400gph Walbro pump with no problems. The reason I went with this pump is it is very quiet.
