Hello there,

i wonder if anybody made contact with the reproduction trailing arms for Chevy trucks 60-72 from LMC or others.
Apparently it's the same product, just marketed by different companies.

I doubt it's the same quality (or better) than the original arms but i don't know for sure.

Did anybody use these on their truck?

Here's a link to the LMC part:
http://www.lmctruck.com/features/cbe/CBECAA.htm

The price is steep but acceptable if the quality is good enough. But i would like to know that for sure before i put down 600 + shipping on a set.
I have a set of good-enough-for-a-restoration but i am not too sure if i would want to use them on my race truck because of the rust pitting they suffer.

Maybe someone could chime in on that topic as well? It's a large pic on purpose so the damage can be seen better. I fear they could crack at 170mph...
Plans are to double the number of welds and do the C20 reinforcement plating (2/3s plated underneath, 1/3 plated on top).

Thanks,
Alex

Just me talkin' out of my butt here- Used Nascar truck arms are usually available on eBay, racing junk, etc, for ALOT less than $600

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=nascar+truck+arms&_osacat=6000&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR4.TRC1.A0.H0.Xtruck+ arms.TRS0&_nkw=truck+arms&_sacat=6000

My set i paid about $75 plus another maybe $75 shipping.

Not sure I'd worry about the amount of metal rusted off there unless it's way deeper than it appears. But it's your life and your responsibility, and wierd stuff happens at 170....

Unfortunately i will have to stick to stock arms, can't use anything that is obviously built which is why i am thinking about repops at all.
I guess it will be pretty lengthy to wait for NOS arms to surface.
