I had been lurking around for a few, lots of good information on here with very nice build threads. Figured I'd join an take advantage of the knowledgeable veterans who have accomplished what I am planning to tackle. Planning to ls1/t56 swap in my first gen as long as I can fit the transmission in without modifying my transmission tunnel. Thanks for the add.

Welcome. U are probably going to have to modify ur tunnel to fit a t56 in a first gen. Not to hard just basically the top section. Look in the build threads. U will see several there

Yeah I developed a noise in my 4 spd last week on the way home from a show. Pulled it apart to find input shaft damaged so that had me test fitting a lt1 t56 case in my tunnel a few days ago. If I do go with the 6 spd I see no way around modifying the tunnel for room.
