Howdy.

My '85 Dodge truck has Mustang style strut rods on the front lower control arms.
As we all know, with stock rubber bushings these move around quite a bit and change caster during breaking, as all others i don't want this.

I am looking into my options of building stuff to change over to a better bushing type and during that i started wondering what happens to shock loads and the bending moments on the welded parts of the frame.
The rubber bushings take away of most shock loads and reduced the bending forces on the metal of the frame.

With say a Heim-joint or a spherical bushing, these loads are transferred directly into the frame and i wonder how it would cope with these forces in long term operations.
