Getting ready to start the body restoration on my 72 Camaro. Would love to get a rotisserie, but dropping $2500 on just that is a little painful. Was thinking of just getting a body cart instead. Any recommendations? Should I go with the rotisserie anyway?

I second what Ryan said. Build your own, use it, then sell it when you're done.

In my opinion building one just takes time away from the actual car build and isn't worth it. Summit racing has them for about $1300 shipped and you'll be able to just bolt it up to the body and go.

I built my own. Took about 400 dollars and 2 weekends. Used the redwing plans but not all the fancy stuff. Just made it to fit my car. I bought the Rams from harbor freight with the 20% off coupons. After I was done using it. Sold it the first day on cl for 650. Definitely worth it. Made working on the car so much easier.

Think it depends on what needs to be done to the car. If a lot of work is needed on the underside then i would get the rotisserie, if not build a cart for $100

If I go the rotisserie route...and decide to buy...does anyone have experience with the different levels of AutoTwirler? Would like to get the Pro, but that's a whole lot of project money. Is it just and easy and user friendly to go with a lesser version? The car needs, at the very least, quarters and front floor pans. Possibly rockers too.

you can build this for $50 in a couple of hours and it works great. One person can flip the car on its side if it is built correctly

I built mine off plans I got off the internet. I still have the plans. I built it, used it for about a year then sold it.

I've owned several of the older version of the AutoTwirler Plus. I'm a big fan of their products. There were multiple times I would store the car on it's side to work on another project in the garage. I highly recommend getting a good set of casters for the unit, as I continually moved it form one side of the garage to the other. Feel free to PM me if you have any other question.
