Hello all,
I am just about done building my 71 Camaro and was curious as to whether or not some of you guys have some other suggestions on wheels. I'm looking to go with something a little different than the regular old 5 spoke torque thrust style wheels everyone has. I've looked at Boze but that's a little more than I'd like to spend, and I've looked at America Racing wheels. I'd like to run a 17" wheel with stock wheel wells and preferable a 10 spoke or something along those lines. I do plan on doing some autocross but nothing anything too wild. I'm just looking for other manufacturer thoughts on wheels somewhere in the $1-1500 price range. I appreciate the input.

Have you looked at a "Minilite Style wheel .I have seen them on the Trans Am and SCCA race cars of that period. And I have seen them offered in a 17" wheel.By different manufacturers.

I am in the same boat, looking for a budget friendly option to fit 275's all the way around a 1973 Camaro looking to stay 17's if they will clear C5 front brakes. Ive looked at ESR, TSW and Beyern. Finding a front that will work doesn't seem to be a problem finding a matching rear with correct Backspace/offset is the deal breaker. I would prefer to stay away from wheel spacers but am coming to the conclusion they may be unavoidable.
I am using the Hotrod article http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/wheels-tires/fitting-tires-wheels/ for a baseline on fitting the biggest wheel in tire in a stock wheel tub. the article specs out 17/18x9.5 with 6 in BS with a 275 tire and 17/18x10 with 6" of backspacing with 295-315 tire. So I realize I can step down the width in the rear since I only want 275's so I think I could do 17/18x9.5 with 5.5 backspace or 6mm offset to keep the same outer fender clearances.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks
Check out billet specialties. They have some decent priced wheels.

I'm trying out OER R15 wheels on my '79 Trans Am. They're basically '91-'92 SLP Firehawk replica wheels. Jeg's, Hawk's Third, or Classic Industries sells them.
17"x9.5"
5-3/8" backspacing
