I'm currently running Goodyear eagle f1 275/40zr-17. They are getting worn out. I've recently started running autocross events and was wondering what would be a good tire that would be close to the ones I currently have, but provide great grip and good sidewalls to hold up. Going on a 2004 Cobra Terminator. All four tires are the same size.

BFG Sport Comp II are good all-around tires, but if you do a lot of autox I'd recommend the BFG Rival S as its the best 200 treadwear tire right now.
Tire rack sells both, take a look there for sizes.

MotoIQ article on proper tire sizing.

I've heard RE-11s are the hot tire this year for SCCA CAM-T. Tire wear may be a concern.
Thats why you see a lot of falken 615RKs on muscle cars as they dont wear out too fast on our heavy cars
Currently Im in the same boat.. Need to ditch my 400TW tires for some 200s.

The supposed hottest 200TW tire out right now is the RE71r. Widest they have right now is 275.
