View Full Version : Anyone building/built 1965-1966 Impala 2Dr?

Hey guys! I've been cruising this site for a while now, so I figured it was time to join in.

I am in the early stages of restoring/upgrading my 1966 Impala 2dr hardtop. I plan to tear it down to the bare frame and make some major suspension and brake upgrades first. I plan to upgrade to an LS at some point down the road. Unfortunately, money does not grow on any trees in my yard, so I really want make wise upgrades. Are there any forum members running one of these big bodied cars? If so, what suspension and brake packages did you install?

I was considering the purchase of a 65 a couple of months ago. There were a couple of options for bolt on suspension pieces that I was looking at, RideTech and Global West. Both are great companies to work with and offer top quality pieces, can't go wrong with either one. You can buy a piece at a time as budget allows or a whole kit and do it all at once.
