Primer for a T-56 magnum

Just wondering what a good primer is to use on my T-56 transmission?

Self etching primer. I used it on my T-56 then painted it. Should hold up well.

I agree, I used a rattle can self etching primer, it worked perfect. Be sure to clean it really well though. I used a degreaser, then washed with Dawn, sprayed down with brake cleaner then painted.
