On blasted clean metal what do you like to use for primer and paint with no prep in between? Going to be doing a core support and a bunch of frame and chassis parts soon. I know what i would have done 25 years ago as a kid working in a restoration shop but I know products have changed a lot since then. I am looking to do a semi-gloss black.

I use SPI epoxy. It has the right finish and no top coat is needed since it has a UV inhibitor. Don't lay the first coat on too thick and temperature needs to be at least 65.

I use MetalLok. I think they're close, being that they are both two part epoxy primers.

On clean bare metal I use John Deere Blitz Black. Arguably one of the most durable rattle can paints on the market.
