ok so i know this topic has been discussed several times and I've read many articles but what would be the best IFS for around 5,000 when doing a coyote swap with a tko, i already have a tko 500 so thats what i planned on using.
ok so I've narrowed it down to tci ifs or heidts pro g ifs. btw I'm going to be using the heidts pro g IRS
TCI
PROS are thats its cheaper and the install is easier.
CONS are that since the engine sits higher the trans tunnel/ firewall needs to be cut. and you might have to move over the brake master cylinder. although those articles i read were from a few years back and I'm not sure if the latest design works better.
HEIDS PRO G
PROS engine sits lower so no trans tunnel or brake master cylinder problems, also seems a little beefier for track use
CONS more expensive, and not many articles about the suspension to read if there are further problems.
yes I've considered DSE but after buying brakes which aren't included and the swap headers (over $3000 on dse website) its becomes out of the budget
there is also rod n custom but after ditching their brakes and buying new wilwoods its about the same price as the tci but I'm not so sure of its handling capabilities.
so basically what ifs should i use or what have others used with success? at this point I'm kind of leaning towards the heidts pro g. any input would be great, thank you
