Hey guys been awhile since I've posted anything. got rid of my old car and may have a new one one the way. It's a 68 or 69 Plymouth satellite I've paid next to nothing for it and it has 0 fenders. now I want to go the pro touring gran touring route with the car but I really love the look of the 70s road runner gtx satellite so I am wondering if the 70s body work can be fitted as from what I've read it's just different from and rear fenders and quarterppanels. has anyone done this before or tried it out?

Never owned one, if the door and the radiator guard are the same from 1968-1970. Should be plug and play. I'll let the Mopar experts say for sure.

Do you mean 70s, as in 1970-1979, or do you mean 1970? Not sure about 1970, other than the body contours being very different, but at least they are the same platform... would still take a lot of work. 71 RR/GTX was a radical departure from the 68/69.

I mean like a 1970 so the one before the drastic uglier era. I know it'sbody frame etc Iis based on the 1969 but I'munsure to what extent. I figure the front fenders will be bolt on and then tthere'dbe grill work. my deal Iis like the rear quarters. I'mwwondering if they are similar or close or if I'dhave to become Dr Frankenstein

According to AMD, the door skins are the same from 68-70, but I can't speak for any other interfaces up front or on the core support. I wouldn't think this swap would look balanced though, with the 68-69 having heavy creases in the quarter panel, and fender, above the wheelwells, while the 70 is a large flat bodyside. Then I'd think you'd have to really, really like the car and not sell it, mixed cars are a hard sell, and bring substantially less than a matching car.

Thanks for that info. yes I know what you mean by looking balanced and I think that was my original concern. I wouldn't be selling it as they are hard to come by where I live hence why I couldn't just buy a 70s need in work. hmm might just buy some new fenders for this thing and a new motor and sell it on.
