Today March 10 2016 Pro-Touring.com has been online for 16 years.

It's been a fun ride and I think this fad thing might actually stick around for a while. The site is busier than ever and I can't thank everyone enough.
My wife for putting up with it, all the great members and lurkers and without a doubt the great moderators. Recently Brandy Morrow Phillips and Suzy Bauter came on board to help and of course all the sponsors of the site who make it all possible.

We have upgraded and switched servers countless times over the years and we are about to do it again. We have a new XenForo forum being built and it should have some cool new features, fewer bugs and be much more mobile device friendly. Our PT Garage is being redone for the new site and we hope to have more event coverage and possibly some tech blogs in the near future.

We are working on a new online store for embossed garage signs, shirts, stickers and we are also trying to decide what to do for our 16th annual SEMA dinner.

Thanks again everyone for being a part of it and just for fun answer me this.

How has the Pro-Touring build style affected you? Did you change the direction on a build? Are you new to it? Did you start a business around it?
Have you made a number of new friends or attended track days that you enjoyed or?????

Happy Anniversary Pro-Touring.com!

Larry,
I have to tell you, Motiv8r was the inspiration behind my build. My Camaro had been in storage for 30 years because I just was not excited by most build styles until I came across a pic of Motiv8r somewhere and started to learn about PT builds. PT.com was the spark I needed to dust off the car and get started on it.

Thank You!

The pro-touring style has affected my bank account! lol. What was originally going to be about a $20k build is turning into a $50k build, but it'll be well worth it.

I joined 10 years ago and I've worked overseas off and on since then. I haven't had the opportunity to meet many people or attend events, or even work on my projects for that matter, but when I get home again in a few months I plan to finish some projects and start attending events.

The entire reason I'm building my GTO the way I am is because of this place. I used to mock guys who wanted their musclecar to do anything but go fast in a straight line. Then I started reading stuff here and watching build threads. I sold my street/strip Nova, started my GTO build and found out hanging corners and auto Xing these old tin boxes is more fun than should be legal. Thanks Larry!

Congrats!

I was one of those lurkers that was too intimidated to post pics of my budget mobile because it wasn't a high dollar billet everything build. When the economy tanked in 2009 I soon found myself an out of work graphic designer and sole provider for a family of 6. Needless to say times were rough. When I went back to school in 2010 to follow my dream in a hot rod fabrication program I used my G body wagon as my class project for a Pro Touring build and started posting pics here (thread link in my sig below). I found that rather than the nose turned up big pockets guys I expected I actually got a great deal of support and encouragement from everyone. That build thread led directly to a temporary job that I had lined up as soon as I graduated and this forum also led to me landing my current marketing manager position at Speedtech Performance.

P-T.com put me in touch with a lot of new friends, helped me make a few bucks for my car through my project rendering services, and put me in touch with racing opportunities. I have yet to post questions here that I didn't get at least a few quality answers, and help is always available. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say pro-touring.com has been a huge benefit in my transition from drag racing to Pro-Touring and the support and motivation I've needed at times to keep pushing me forward with my unique "tight budget" build.

A big thanks from me and the Pumkinator to all involved in keeping the forum going!!

Thank you Larry and Happy Anniversay!!
This site helped me get inspired to put more emphasis on making my Mopars handle, rather than straight line speed. After being a long time lurker I plan to finally post my newest build on here. There is so much knowledge and inspiration available on here to help anyone take their build to a new level.
