So total newbie in American car - long story short; i've got a caprice hearse with an LT1 5.7 V8 which i want to install in my race car which will become a leisure driftcar.
The LT1 will most likely (haven't checked yet) have a 4160e automatic transmission. So i've been looking around for a manual transmission but just came across what is called a single/dual action shifter.

- Am i right in saying that this is what they use in dragracing?
- Would this be also suited for drifting, banging through the gears? You wouldn't have to option to clutchkick but as the search for a manual box is going so difficult (based in Belgium) just trying out new options...

many thanks in advance for the replies
