Does anyone have experience with the speedway collapsible steering column? I have a 1970 Firebird and I'm not sure if I need to get the 32 to 42 inch column or the 22 to 32 inch column. The factory steering column on a 1970 Firebird is right at 32.5 inches so Depending on which column I got it would be either fully extended or fully compressed. I am leaning towards the 22 to 32 inch column which would allow me to adjust the steering wheel further away from me since I have never found the need to pull the stock steering wheel closer to me. I hope this makes sense.

By the way this is going to purpose built race car so that is why am looking at this column.

http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosheets/LVVTA_Info_01-2013_Unsafe_Aftermarket_Steering_Columns.pdf So, watch you get a good quality piece. Summit house brand stuff is not famous for being top level goods.

Wow that document was very interesting. I ended up going with a sweet manufacturing collapsible racing column.
