So I bought my Snap On Vantage Pro lab scope back in 09, always faithful and accurate. till ex fellow co worker sat it in bad spot and $2500 lab scope hits floor from about 6 or 7 ft.
So at first i fixed battery connection, but later on it developed issues of not seeing CF card to load software.
So lasst year it went in for repair,knowing it wouldnt be cheap.
Well it came back with $853 bill for main circuit board replacement.
Well taxes came back finally, and as I have been out of work since first of year, taxes have been only way to pay for it.
Well tool man pulls it out and lo and behold I honestly believe they just replaced WHOLE UNIT except SN. It appears its scotch taped on, even came with newer software, not complete update but from 8.? to the 11.4 software and even a new battery.
Also couple weeks ago received info on who stole my previous Snap On Scanner!
Still looking for new shop but not freezing or starving yet so God is smiling on me so far!
