Your doing a heck of a job on that Camaro. Don't worry about what other people think, build what you like. I'm putting a Gen 3 Viper in my 67Dodge pickup, maybe you can give me some pointers...

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find most people here openminded enough for this build!

Cool!

Do what you want, let the others just roll off your back.

Absolute sacrilage... and cool as could be. Brand loyalty be dammed. Big power/manual 6 speed in a killer old bodied car. Whats not to love?

I dig the aluminum core support too.

I think it'd be easier to build an LS platform and really easy to make decent hp, but then it wouldn't be as unique. It certainly looks good in there.

Who cares if anyone thinks it's sacrilege or naughty naughty, it's your car and you're building it the way you want. People that are that closed minded are well, too closed minded. I drive a pro touring station wagon and have resisted the urge to LS swap it, both somewhat unique these days. Hot rodding is like Burger King, you build it your way, and do it without shame or regret.

It's your car, do what you want. I think most will agree.

Post up more of the car! An engine is an engine, don't care what it came from

Love it dude. I know as someone who has something different, there will always be those who insult, but wtf do they have to show for themselves? There's enough stock & even very nice cookie cutter cars to go around, someone has to put out something different once in a while. You got more skill needed in your oil pan than some themselves put into the whole engine, people on this site appreciate that kind of stuff. Only way it would be cooler [or hotter] would be to have another 2 cylinders.
