View Full Version : Can someone superimpose two pics for me?

I have two pics of two different SBC bell housings that I need to superimpose and adjust the transparency so I can compare the locations of the two clutch pivot holes. I think I can see a difference looking at the two pics side by side but I have no way to overlay one over the other to really make sure. I'm thinking that the pics may need to be resized a little bit to make sure the block mount holes or dowel pin holes line up. The reason I'm doing this is because I suspect the QT bell housing pivot mount is slightly lower than the Lakewood resulting in a difference in the angle of the clutch linkage. If I can determine a dimension, I'm thinking it may be possible to fabricate a new pivot mount bracket for the QT which will may hopefully correct the clutch linkage angles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Steve, it looks like the bolt holes along the bottom of the two bellhousings don't line up. The red bell housing has more holes (11 vs 8) compared to the black one. I can easily resize the pic and change it's proportions, but I'd need to know which holes I'm trying to line up. It looks like the black one has an obvious center bottom hole, where the red one has two bottom holes spaced equidistant from the center line? The top holes lined up nicely.

Thank You!
The two bell housing alignment pin holes look like they are dead on. The holes around the bottom are not important. The one location I was interested in is the location of the fork pivot which looks to be off a little. I the pivot mount on the QT is removable and I'm thinking it may be possible to build a new mount and relocate the hole to the same location as in the Lakewood.

Thanks Again, this gives me something to work with.
