There is a new event that has been added to the Goodguys Autocross Series for the 2016 Season. Please refer to the information below and let me know if you have any questions:
Goodguys 2016 AutoCross Shootout
“Duel in Des Moines”
Presented by OPTIMA Batteries
The Goodguys 2016 AutoCross Duel in Des Moines will be held at the
25th Heartland Nationals inDes Moines, IA
July 1 & 2, 2016
Below is information on how you can be part of the mid-seasonShootout.
There will be a total of 16 cars with 16 drivers for the Shootout.The format for the event will be as follows:
1. Friday will be qualifiers for the Shootout from 8am to Noon and then 1pm to 5pm.
2. Saturday morning until noon, we will continue qualifying. At noon, we will list the top 24 cars.
3. At 1pm we will have the 24 cars run the first round of qualifiers and reduce the field to 20 cars.
4. At 2pm we will take the 20 cars and run the second round of qualifiers and reduce the field to 16 cars.
5. At 3pm we will start the eliminations on a 16-car PRO ladder. By the end of the day, we will have the winner of the Goodguys “Duel in Des Moines” AutoCross Shootout.
6. The top 8 cars will go directly to the Duel in the Desert finals in Scottsdale, AZ in November.
Prizes:
Goodguys will be awarding the top four places of the Shootout
o 1st $2,000.00
o 2nd $1,000.00
o 3rd $750.00
o 4th $250.00
