1969 Camaro with full Ridetech stage 3. Currently have 18/9.5 Forgelines with 275 Falkens...
I'm adding Anvil Carbon fenders and will run the BFG Rival 315's up front after the fender install {1.5 inch more clearance}.
I know that either 10.5 or 11 will work, but is there an advantage either way?

Thanks...Matt

Unless you can run more than 6 1/2" of backspacing or more, 11s will not work.

The 315 seems very comfortable on the 10.5" wheel.

You can overtire the front wheels and drive around it, if you overtire the rear wheels it tends to get snappy in the back.

Does anyone else see a double post in that post?

This double post thing is crazy! Happened to me twice already. I'm thinking the 10.5 is the way to go, just can't seem to get much input about it...thanks!

A 315 tire on a 69 with just a new inner fender? I don't think that's the case. All the research I could find suggest a 315 on a sec gen need fender mods, I don't see a 69 getting away with it and a 70 can't. Has this been done before and doesn't rub?

Anvil Outer fender, not inner. It gives another 1.5 inches of outer clearance.

After reading almost the entire Hellfire thread, Stielow runs a 10.5 rim with the Rival 315, so I think I found my answer!

I always look at the tread width of the tire if room is not a concern. The BFG Rival S has a tread width of 11.4". So for max tread contact, an 11.5" wheel would be perfect. If you have the room for an 11, I would not drop to a 10.5. Just my 2 cents worth....

Good stuff, I agree that the 11 would be best...I'll pull the trigger and hope for the best!

I can't tell you about the car, but I would absolutely go with the 11" wheels. The Rival's like to be square, this allows the maximum tire on the ground.

Yes, perfect world, 11s at a minimum, but on a 69 camaro with a stock subframe and the Anvil fenders, it is not going to happen without running more than normal backspacing and giving up steering angle.

I agree Donny, some give and take are in order here and due to the limitations of my car I'm going with the 10.5. It's not perfect, but I have a better chance of it fitting.

I dealt with Darin at Forgeline yesterday and placed the order. I went back and forth a hundred times, but the 10.5 is the best compromise. Darin assured me that I can change the hoops out myself and gave me the info how to do it. Thanks for all the input from everyone...I'll update when it's all done.
