Hey all. I've got big plans for this year's racing schedule and to give the Pumkinator a bit of a facelift I finally nailed down the look I'm going for. I had some time over the Christmas break to start a new rendering, here's the final result. I'm currently gearing up for the 550 hp 510ft lb 406 small block engine swap, and I've been collecting parts for the interior and exterior. After a couple months of racing the car gets torn down in late April to begin the body work and paint. Hopefully the car will be complete by the end of this summer. Enjoy!

Thanks fellas. I like lots of cars, Novas in particular have always been my favorite. But the wagons have a certain coolness appeal and always have had a spot on my gotta have one list. When I drive mine it feels like a hard core pro touring car and I never really think of it as a 4 door long roof as I cruise down the road. I guess I get the best of all worlds with it.

Nicely done. Reminds me of one of the concept drawings I did for a project of mine a couple years ago.

Nice cruiser!! Way to keep the small blocks going. Was surprised you didn't go LS. Are you doing an Efi ? Cool rendering.

Hey Chewy- That's a nice Malibu and rendering. Back when I decided to do orange and black similar to yours but have it come down the side a few inches to the body line, I came across your artwork and thought that it would be cool to have 2 different G body wagons painted that similarly. Looks like we even had similar wheels. Did you ever get around to building yours?

Hey Art and Max- Thanks! When I started the project a few years ago I originally wanted to do a 5.3 and bought one but I was getting low on funds and I already had a good running 406 SBC so I stuck that in there and sold the 5.3. I am currently swapping a nasty 406 that is around 550 ponies out of my drag Nova into the wagon. It's all old school with a carb and a .560 lift solid cam. There may come a day that I convert to LS but I have a couple other projects on the back burner, so for now I'll stick with the sb. My teenage son also owns a Cutlass wagon and he's already bought a wrecked Tahoe that we're swapping the 5.3 and 4L60 into his car. Click here to see Coppertop. Love those old boxy GMs, especially the long roofs
