I did not want to cut the fenders and i tried rolling them. It did not go so well. I was hoping I could cover this with the wheel well trim. What should I do to prevent the paint crack from spreading? Cut it off and clear over it?

The paint on the lip itself was messed up to start with when the previous owner tried to put too big a tire on...

I still don't want to cut the lip off. Could the paint be cut off at the corner of the lip so I could roll the rear quarters without additional damage? And then clear over it?

that looks like body filler that cracked....not just paint...us a heat gun to warm the paint to keep it from cracking...but the body filler/Bondo might still crack

If you have the paint code, just repaint. Keep the blend line below the feature line and not on the 1/4 panel. Use a touch up gun and a few coats of base and a few coats of clear. Don't use a hard tape line, use wide tape and roll it back to give a softer paint edge. Will require careful sanding and buffing. Good painters can and do blends all the time.

If you roll the 1/4 lips, you'll need to roll the fender trim with it, not so easy to do without distorting the trim. Better off to skip the fender trim if rolling the 1/4 lip.

Let us know how it works out.
