Im about to either start tearing into my 69 Camaro with Stock Manual front disk and rear drum brakes.
I have a everything I need to start the LS1 brake swap. I have one thing prevents me to start this swap. Is wheels. Will 17" rally wheels clear LS1 rotors? They are 12".
Thanks fellas

Its the caliper that will interfere first. LS1 f bodies came with 16" wheels, so you should be ok.

You didn't specify which 17" rally wheels you're considering, they're not all the same, but most 17" wheels will clear the 98-02 LS1 F-body front disc brakes, even the problematic ones like TTII's.

The wheels I was referring to is http://www.wheelvintiques.com/wheels/hot-rod/66-series-chevy-style-rallye-16-18-silver.html.
Same ones that Tim Allen has on his 68 Camaro. Wheel Vintiques Vintage Rallye 66 wheels

these show 5x5. You might have just thrown up a listing but you will need 5X4.75

Yeah There is a drop down box. I was wanting 17's Maybe 17x7/9. The 17x7 have 4 1/2 backspacing and the 9's have 5" of backspacing.

If TTII's are the more problematic wheels, and they fit, then it shouldn't be an issue. I ran 17x9.5" TTII's on the front of my 98 Trans Am for many years.

I feel like the reason TTII's worked on a 4th gen was because of the offset. I ran them on my 2002 Camaro SS. I know billet ones might clear but they are 480 ish a piece =.

Comparing medium/high-offset wheels to zero/low-offset wheels is not generally good practice, but the odds still are that you won't have any issues putting the Wheel Vintiques steel Rallye 66 wheels, but it never hurts to call them and ask.

Well Year one has no idea if they will clear. Neither does Wheel Vintiques

Y/O is usually pretty good about checking brake fitments. Did you ask if they would clear a C5/C6 kit? I'm just guessing, but they may just not know the profile of the LS1 F-body brakes, hence their answer. If you provide them with a C5/C6 fitment template to check the wheels, then you could infer fitment based on that for the LS1 F-body brakes knowing they're smaller in every way. It may not be explicit, but if they say it'll clear the C5/C6 brakes with a 1/4" spacer, then it will clear the LS1 F-body brake straight up.
