While working on my 69 tempest I ran into an unusually frustrating situation. I'm currently replacing all of the front suspension and was having a hell of a time installing the upper control arm bump stops. twisting, spinning, pushing nothing really worked for me. The bumpstop has a head on it that is larger than the hole in the frame so once installed it won't come out. https://www.pro-touring.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=121638&stc=1
What I ended up doing was super simple and worked like a charm.
First find a piece of string.

Wrap it around the part of the bumpstop that goes in the frame like so.

Feed string through the hole on the frame where bumpstop is pushed into

From the underside pull down on the string while pushing on the bumpstop and turning in the opposite direction you wrapped the string. As the string unwinds it will pull the plug through the hole seating the bumpstop on the frame. This should work on all the A body cars, Hope it helps.
I don't know how anybody else does it, maybe I just created a more complex way of doing something that isn't that difficult in the first place. Wouldn't be the first time.
