merry christmas, you have a very nice fourm and from what i read here ,also alot of pro . i want your 2cents and your thoughts out building bullet proof eng making aspirated 600-650hp with the best part.
block(cast iron or aluminom)-ls3-7-dart(borowski engine said the are the best?)or other block top end-all forged

heads-this hp need massive airflow-with strong valve and spring piston? what the cost to build somthing lke that

Look at the for sale section. There is a thread titled LS2/LSA and he is selling it for 13k. I haven't priced that kind of build with all of the high end parts, but the cost of the block, rotating assembly and heads could easily be north of 13-15k before you even get into machine work, assembly, accessory drive, and all of the small parts that go into an ls or any engine. I would guess you would approach 20k if you went with the best of the best.

LSX454 with a carb? Seems like it hits the mark, comes with a warranty, should be pretty stout (but I might be biased based on what's sitting between the frame rails out in my garage).
