Hey guys, I found a 2006 GTO for parts and was wondering if the front and rear brakes can be installed onto my 67 Camaro with disc fronts and 12 bolt rear with drums? I have done a little research and if I understand this right these are c5 brake components. Can I use the master cylinder setup and proportioning valve as well from GTO? It looks like Kore3 might be the place to call for brackets and brake lines, so since my 67 has disc brake spindles on it I will need to switch to a drum spindle and hub assembly, is this right? I am running a big block Chevy with tall valve covers, if the master cylinder from the GTO will work will it clear the valve covers or is it to large? I can buy the calipers and rotors for $350. Is that a fair price and is that all that is needed or will I need brackets from GTO too? Any help or info will be appreciated Rich

The GTO abutment brackets are different bolt spacing where they would bolt to a kit bracket for C5 stuff, and even 04 different that 05/06. But the calipers themselves I believe will bolt to C5 abutments which are not real expensive. They may have a slightly different piston size also that the actual Vette calipers. Maybe Tobin will chime in.

Thanks for the reply it sounds like I wouldn't be able to use to many parts from the GTO so I will pass on the parts. Will save up and buy a complete kit.

Some of the '04 GTO folks will pick them up as they are a slight upgrade on the front for them -larger rotors.
