Up for sale is a 1967-69 Camaro rear suspension upgrade kit for the person who either has multi-leaf springs or wants to upgrade from mono-leaf springs to multi-leaf spring set up. I was going this route, but ended up biting the bullet for the DSE Quadra-link kit.
What’s included in the purchase:
(1) SPEED KIT 1
- DSE Rear Leaf Springs ( 3" drop )
- Heavy Duty Shackle Kit
- Koni Classic Rear Shocks
(2) Detroit Speed Mono-leaf to Multi-Leaf Conversion Kit (P/N 041101)
Comes with everything you need to correctly convert your mono-leaf rear axle including: U-bolts, steel locating pad, aluminum spacers, washers, and nuts
(3) Detroit Speed Lower Shock Mount Plates for non mini-tubbed and Staggered Shock configuration (P/N 040302R) x2
The shock plates are stronger than stock and use 1/2" U-bolts and a 1/2" bolt for the lower shock mount. Set up for staggered shocks, would need to buy 1 different shock plate from DSE for non-staggered ($35.00 from DSE).
(4) 1967-69 Camaro Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar Kit (P/N 2207R)
CNC bent for a precise fit and feature lightweight hollow construction and include greasable polyurethane bushings, end links, fabricated rear links, stainless u-bolts, brackets, and all necessary hardware. Hotchkis bars are powder coated for durability, and tested and tuned to ensure the best performance possible. 7/8" Hollow Rear. When I purchased the Kit, the Chassis Max brace was not available. So this kit does not come with the Chassis Max sway bar brace like the “new” rear kit does.
The components new were:
$780.00 for the Speed Kit 1
$ 95.00 for the Mono-to-Multi Leaf Conversion Kit
$ 70.00 for the Lower Shock Mount Plates
$402.00 for Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar
The Leaf springs and shock plates were used in a suspension mock up only, 0 miles on them. The U bolts and shocks are as new, but the shocks do have black primer overspray on them. I mounted the Sway ar, so it has some small scratches and chips on the powder coating and the sticker is peeling up, but it also has 0 miles on it.
I am asking $850.00 plus 50.00 shipping in the CONUS.
Cheers,
Shane
