1979 Pontiac T/A drop spindle aftermarket problem with Brake.......

I have a drop Spindle on the front wheel with original Disc. and Caliper. Problem is the Pad is not wearing on the outer edge by about the last 1/2" . How do I resolve this delema?

Is the pad properly aligned over the disc, where the outside edge of the pad is basically aligned with the periphery of the rotor? Or are you describing a radial taper of the brake pad, and if so, is it occurring to both the inner and outer pads or just one or the other? Can you post pictures so that we can better understand what you're asking?
