Looking at these wheels on many different cars, but some look like the rim center is bowed outward towards the center, but others look flat or slightly sinking in towards the center. Is this just an illusion? I'm not digging the bowed out version.
The ones that are on the Stabil 360 camaro are the ones I like.

Also, anyone know the technical difference between the competition and performance series? They appear to be the same price,

They are convex, not flat or concave.
The competition series have more machining for lighter weight (apparent on the lug area, and also on the back of the spokes) and are engineered to be very strong too.

Are there any downfalls to the competition? For the price, looks no reason not to go that way.
Am I wrong? The wheels on stabil 360 are not gw3s?

The competition series wheels also don't have center caps. I think most have an option to drill for their bolt-on cap, but its an up charge.

We remove so much material from the center hub/lug area of the competition wheels that we can't even machine the groove to receive the center cap o-ring. So the Competition Series will be lighter, but they will not accept the standard press-in center cap. Plus, we normally don't powder coat the inners of the racing wheels.

The Stabil Camaro is on DE3C. See: http://www.forgeline.com/customer_gallery_view.php?cvk=1018

Without looking up the sales order, all I know for sure is that they are 18s. I can tell from the photo that the rear tire is a 335/30ZR18. Remind me on Monday, when we're back in the office, and I can look up that original sales order.
