Im only 16 so im on a budget with this. I have a Hotchkis front sway bar, Hotchkis 2'' drop springs, adj. koni sport shocks, poly. bushings. On the rear I have Hotchkis 1-1/2'' lowering multi-leafs, with koni sport shock. Any suggestions on what else I should buy to make this thing handle better then a vette? (besides actually getting one)

Where to begin. Guldstrand mod is the first and probably cheapest to come to mind. Of course, your setup practically mirrors mine and mine handles great! I am waiting for budget room to get the AFX spindles (they are not too expensive but having to change the brake system at the same time . . .), Global West arms and Unisteer Rack.

What do you have for brakes? It makes no sense to further your cornering if you can't stop.

There are a lot of things you could do but the first thing is read as much as you can and decide what you want your car to do.

Get tony huntimeyers book, lots of great ideas in there.

Forget the line"better than a vette" , gm spend a few million developing the new vette from the ground up, you probably will fall short a little.

You can take an nice looking old design and make it handle much better, you have to really think about what you want and decide what your budget will allow, a full cage with aftermarket front clip etc., or a mostly stock car with some suspension tweaks.

Think about frame connecters and solid body bushings for you next upgrade.

Good seats with three or four point belts mounted safely.(research this as much as you can)

Decent brakes are a must , even just pads and line with fresh fluid if you havent done so already.

Dont be put off by the mega dollar cars you see, a little patience and creativity goes a long way. I have been into cars and bikes for years and i learn something every day.

Welcome! Get a proper alignment. I use 1* neg camber, 3* positive caster, 1/16" toe-in. I agree with the solid body mounts and frame connectors, also good brakes and tires. Did I mention good brakes. Stock drums are a safety hazard. Stock discs can be fine for street with a quality pad.

For brakes i have a new SSBC power disc setup. 12'' spindles, with twin piston calipers.
