What are the pros and cons of running a power brake set up with 4 wheel disc wilwood brakes? Is it worth the extra investment Or will it feel like it did when my 68 firebird 4 wheel drum manual brakes?

thanks for the help!

I did 4 wheel manual Wilwoods on a customers 67 firebird, and 4 wheel manual disc on my corvette... I happen to like it from a performance aspect. There is a bit more effort but its not horrible. The 'bird I did used a 7/8" master. It was pretty easy on the leg for a manual brake car. If it was mine I probably would have gone for a 15/16" master. Different pad compounds can also help or hurt your needs

4 wheel drum brakes? You might as well cut a hole in the floor and drag your feet. That is not even a remotely close comparison to a manual 4 wheel disk setup. I am running a manual 7/8" Willwood master and C6 Z06 calipers and I have been completely satisfied with the performance. If I need more agressive braking I can simply change to a more agressive pad compound. Manual brakes are less expensive and less complicated while also providing more positive pedal feedback.

Manual 4 wheel disc brakes all day every day for the last 5 years daily driving my 68 firebird. No issues

What size master cylinder are you running on your bird?
