I figured I would post my system/specs for those who are interested. I utilized 12"x 1.25" Baer Eradispeeds from 2000 Camaro along with Calipers, Performance Friction Pads, Drum spindles with ARP 12mm studs. I also had to use .5" spacer to fit my wheels 16" V45. Laser cut cal brackets from RIch Hoag of TX, nice pieces by the way. I am running a new stock style booster with a vac pump and 1" bore corvette mc.

Anyway my first impressions are pretty positive, the car stops very well but pedal modulation(travel) is not quite like a new car with power brakes, but think this is normal for early style vac boosted vehicle.

One thing to consider with the Fbody and c5 caliper is clearance of wheel at the front vs the rim edge, in my case the spokes would interfere. I can add a pic with the wheel if someone needs it. SS

I am running 93-7 Fbody PBRs they work pretty well and the swap is fairly easy. Bought rotors from napa for $25 and used new GM brackets Could of got them at a wrecking yard cheap though. The rotors didn't need to be turned to fit over my 12 bolt axles which was nice. I have noticed a difference based on the adjustable porportioning valve setting, vs other MC 1-.125 with stock fronts prior. I still need to set the bias a little better.

However, I would not necessarily reccomend them due to the e-brake mechanism. I bought the short cables from Touring classics which fit well, the ebrake worked for a short while and cable stretched or something. I replaced the intermediate cable but same thing happened within a couple of applications? Kinda Wierd, probably needs to be slightly shorter, I am still working on that. I need an ebrake with a manual trans though. I think it comes down to leverage, a foot style ebrake vs. the hand operated, meaning not enough leverage.

Other than that the system is pretty sweet and fairly low budget. SS

So just to confirm, you used gen 4 camaro calipers? I have a pair of 2000 camaro calipers and rotors and want to put them on my car. I have disc spindles though , does Rich make a bracket that I can use. If not I guess I could just get some drum spidles there not too expensive.

yes 4th gen from 2000, you could use disc spindle but would need to use a spacer for the upper boss/attachment point of the bracket to spindle. SS

Could you tell me how I could get in touch with Rich Hoag, to order a set of brackets. Thanks.

I've heard that the f body calipers are a larger bore than the c5 calipers, is this true? And if it's not any trouble I would like to see a pick with the wheel to show the clearance issue as I also have the same wheels. Thanks

F-body pistons are 44mm vs. the C5's 40mm, IIRC.

Here is the pic! Please realize that there is no way to run these wheels without at least a 3/8-1/2" spacer. In talking with somenone else I heard that the newer versions of VVW have more clearance? not sure if that is the case. SS

to improve the pedal why dont you install a LS1 booster and master cylinder?

to improve the pedal why dont you install a LS1 booster and master cylinder? I have considered this and it might be a very good option. However, I just bought a new(cardone) original style booster and new corvette mc. I am going to run it for a while and see how it works when pushed hard a track event or auto-X. Weather is the biggest factor here now. Most likely won't really be able to push it until the spring:banghead: . They do work well and fronts lock, in playing with the rear bias I haven't got the rears to lock, which is good? I just don't know what % front-rear bias is set at different positions of the porp valve. Testing on the street is a bit dangerous and hard on tires but I still think I need to dial it in a little better.

I think that Rich stated he was doing a conversion with LS1 booster and MC, don't know if it is done? SS

Railing68....I have the Baer front disc brakes on mine with PBR calipers etc. I still have drum rear.

Could you spell out what you did for the rear, including the e-brake for me?
I would like to upgrade the rear on mine, also, but never came across someone that said it was so simple.
I have a 10 bolt posi rear in mine.
