Rear lower control arms for 2003 Mustang

Hey guys,

I've got my son's rear out of his Mustang to put a sane gear ratio in it (somebody along the way thought a 4.10 rear gear was a good idea). So the control arms are out of the car, and while I found Ford OEM rubber bushings for the upper control arms, no such luck for the lowers.

Anybody got any Mustang experience? Looks like there are many vendors out there. Should I replace them? Get poly replacement bushings? Or does anybody know of someone with rubber bushings?

Any advice or help appreciated, thanks!

I've put a few sets on in the past. The ones that we build use poly bushings (I think most aftermarket tubulars use poly now) which work really nice, I've had them on my last two Mustangs. The only rubber bushings that I've had experience with are the factory ones. I think I've thrown the arms away on most of my Mustangs before the rubber bushings were even bad, lol.

I didn't know you guys even supported the later-model Mustangs. It looks from the picture that yours require a coilover conversion (no spring seats)?

Yes sir! We've had the lower arms for quite some time but just re-designed the kit this past year on my Mach 1 and fox body.

The rear lower control arms are set up for use with the coilovers, they don't have a coil spring seat on them. I was going to ask earlier if you were sticking with coil springs or go to coilovers. I figured coil springs were staying because you asked about replacement bushings :).

Thanks Josh. I'll just pick up a set of control arms with poly bushings and a spring seat then. BMR is close to me..
