I have a 67 Camaro convertible I am looking to mini-tub.
I currently have 275/40/18 tires on there now but am looking for more of an aggressive look as well as upgrading the rear suspension (currently Hotchkis) to 4 link with coilovers.
I have done a search and have not come up with much when it comes to a convertible.
Anyone have any pictures they can share of steps and final install?
I have read that different convertible top arms or notching the top of the tubs are needed to lower the top all the way. Any other issues with the seats or anything else?
I am looking to do the install myself, any idea of the hours I am looking at?
I can also entertain a reputable shop doing the work (any idea what that may run $$?). Very busy with work .
I have done lots of welding but not much with sheet metal. I have a Millermatic 175 mig I think should be fine.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps call DSE and get their CD for their minitub install and ask them direct for a convertible installation. They are always very helpful on the phone. Tim john---

You might want to do some more research, I have heard that you might need to modify the roof mechanism because they might want to fold down into the space that will be occupied by the tubs. Might be an old wive's take, I can't speak from any personal experience, but do make sure for yourself.

Sorry, I (now) see that you covered that already, sorry!

Yes, I saw and read that one. If that is all it takes then I can fab up another arm to offset where it comes down.
I wonder if there are any other mods like cutting any seating or anything else. I have a fold down rear seat back.

Waking up an old thread that still needs attention.
Since more time has passed, has anyone else done this on a convertible?
Also need a good shop in the nor-cal area that has experience doing this. Preferably the east bay.
I am also looking into replacing my side glass with a smoked set if anyone has any recommendations. Saw a set on eBay for $329 that looks like a contender.
Thanks
