I have a 496 BBC running a holly HP EFI. It is a 10:1, 230/236, 515/525 comp roller cam and kit. It has 8 individual fuel injectors on a tunnel ram that was modified for the injectors with 2 4bbl throttle bodies. The distributor is a 94 Chev computer controlled stock distributor with a MSD coil.
I am using R44XLS plugs that I just changed the gap to .045. Should I go back to the .035 gap that I was running before. Should I run a different plug?
The car fired right up on first try and after we found that the throttle body secondaries were slightly open and when they were closed is idled down to 850 rpm and ran good. I have no problems with it so far. I do need to go back and add more ground straps tho. I read somewhere that the factory uses at least 6. Is that true?
