Sad day indeed but honestly it doesn't surprise me. Elderly people like that who have been married for 60+ years even when in perfect health usually don't live much longer after their SO passes. At least they are together now in the hands of the lord.

Very sad news, At least he didn't have t spend much time away from his beloved wife. May they both rest in peace.

Its probably because all of us on here could identify with Roy and saw a little bit of us in him as you could tell he really loved his craft and liked cars!

That was really sad news :(
Now that Roy, Mike, Charlie, Andrew and Brian is gone from the show..How is the show then really? I have seen all episodes from 1-26
I havent seen the rest because it dont air in Norway, and im getting copys from the US

Did not know him, but I feel as if I did. Sad to hear this. Loved the person he was on the show. My condolences to his family.

If you've ever had the experience of working in a trade or in some sort of manufacturing shop with an old curmudgeon who knows and has done everything, you immediatley had a soft spot for Roy. They just shake their heads over younger guys attempts at a task, and finally say "gimme that", mutter something salty to themselves, (probably fart) and do it almost like magic.
While I don't feel a damn thing for this particular guy, I know the type, and this post has me thinking about a few of the old relics in my past that I didn't appreciate enough at the time.
