View Full Version : Anyone run a 315 front tire with Ridetech stage 3 ('69 Camaro)

At Holley LS Fest this year I saw two '69's with Anvil's carbon front fenders. They are 1.5 inches wider than stock and both cars had the DSE subframe. They had 18/11 rims with 315 wide tires. Stielow runs the same setup I think.

Question is has anyone run these fenders with the Ridetech suspension?

I'm sure it can work. My wheel is a 9.5/18 with 5.75 backspacing. I run a Falken 275 tire and if I change the fenders and the outer shell of the wheel by 1.5 inches, I should be able to fit the 11 inch wheel with the 315 wide tire.

Any thoughts...

Matt

O.K., guess I'll be the first to try it...time to trail blaze!

Your backspacing will remain the same, so as long as there is actually 1.5" of additional fender clearance then there's no problem.

That's what I'm hoping...ordering the fenders today (3-4 month wait).

I know the Red 69 you looked at is running the 315 on a 10.5, not an 11. That's a 6.125 backspace wheel with the DSE sub and 1.7* negative camber.

Stielow also ran a 10.5" wheel on Hellfire.

Now that's good info...I would rather run a 10.5 anyway. I'm at 1.2 camber right now and would like to get closer to 2* anyway. That red '69 at LS Fest was making me drool. Nice gentleman driving it too, thinks he went by Gramp's or Pop's or something like that.
