Hi...
Hope I'm not upsetting anyone by joining and listing my 'current' ride. I say current bc it just went up for sale and the next car on the bucket list is a '60's era Camaro or Mustang. But the Lightning is pretty special, its modified a bit. Suspension wise... it's lowered 3"/4" with Belltech 2" drop spindles and GroundForce 1" springs up front with Bilsteins. Out back I've goy Hotchkis TVS leafs with Strange Adjustable shocks. The Lightning has HD front and rear sway bars so with the drop, the CG is even lower and she corners extremely well for a truck LOL. Under the hood the stock Eaton blower is gone and a Magnum Powers blower with a Cobra rotor pack is in its place. The blower runs via custom DMR cogged system with a 6# lower pulley so I'm making about 15 pounds of boost at WOT. Accufab SBTB and a CAI with a SCT 2600 BA MAF helps the intake and the exhaust is routed out of Bassani Equal Length headers into a 2.5" full Bassani SS system complete with Hi-Flo cats and X-Pipe. Its a beautiful truck, custom blue/pearl ghost flames on jet black, custom interior with bucket seats and console. I've had it just under 10 years and its time to move on.
The bucket list car will be funded by the sale of the Lightning. I'm not going to bother looking for a numbers matching ride, all I want is a turn-key, nice-looking cruiser, that sounds great and drives great too. Don't care either way whether its automatic or stick... just some classic muscle. Hope to learn a lot about the Camaros (and maybe Mustangs) here, see what to look for, what to watch out for. I've owned '56/'57 Chevies, '57/'64/'69/'99 Corvettes, some nice pontiac including a Firebird Formula 400 and a bunch of other stuff. I'll note here that I'm 72 going on 17 LOL. Never grow old.
Mike
