I have ZZ427 ZL1 crate engine in my 68 camaro. Can anyone tell me what I should expect for oil pressure at idle 1000 rpm and at 4000 rpm. My cam is larger than factory if that matters.
thank you in advance,

Isnt the old rule of thumb 10psi per 1000 rpm when hot to get a close guesstimation?

that is the rule I look at and use. Cam should make no difference. A street motor should run at least 30 to 40 hot. It used to be a 7 lb rule to oil the motor and the rest of the psi to cool it .But at 7 psi the lifters would rattle. My BBC with a stroker crank and a 230/236 roller cam idled at 23 psi at 600 rpm and the builder said its good. It also runs 50 psi hot at 3000.
