View Full Version : New Marquez Design dash and door panels will be at SEMA

We'll have our new 69 Camaro dash and door panels/console at SEMA next week. This is the first design. The dash uses Autometer gauges with the bezels removed, enclosed in a custom housing, along with a new dash pad. The panels are complete with interior pull handles and hardware, direct replacements. They have covered speaker panels in the lower front corners and your choice of fabrics. No pricing at this point. This rendering by John McBride was taken off of photos of the mockup, so it is very accurate to the final product.

Sweet!! I really like the flush mounted look of the gauges. Will that carry over to the final design, or will the bezel stick out from the dash like almost all gauge housings are setup now? Also, will the console have options for mounting anything besides the screen shown in the picture, such as gauges, etc.?
Ok, now for the obvious question: do you plan on doing anything like this for '67-68 Camaros or other cars? If so, how long till any of it would be produced? I've been starting to investigate building custom doorpanels, but it would be nice to be able to buy some that are already complete

We remove the bezels from the gauges. They fit in from behind and have the slight angled recess just like the rendering. In fact the rendering is a tracing of our photos so it's pretty much exact. These fit like an oem dash is, not like anything out there in the aftermarket that I've seen.
We will be doing a version for the 67/8's next. Same dash but with slight changes to mount to the dash and the dash pad. This dash requires some cutting of three areas, but from that point it bolts in.

We will actually have a new second gen product at SEMA; not the dash yet though.

There is some simple cutting in three areas. After you've trimmed these areas it literally bolts into place. There will be templates provided; I think anyone on these boards could do the install.

I can't because we honestly don't know yet. The tach/speedo are 5" and the others are 2 1/16 I believe.
there is a truck company that sells a dash for 70 chevy trucks, it too has flush mounted guages, however they have some arrangement where you can leave the guage as is

Cannot say yet, have not decided. The bezels will have to be removed with any gauge you use.

We remove the bezels and recess the gauges like a factory setup. They are not mounted flush, we'll get some pics from SEMA.

The original one is foam and fiberglass I believe, with part of the original dash pad, then covered and stiched. Not 100% sure what the final material will be.

First off, thank you Larry for posting the pics. My buddy got a ton of good pics but I haven't seen them yet. As far as availability, we just don't know for sure yet. The response was huge and we are going to be figuring out the best way to produce them this week. I'll post when I have a better idea.

I don't know, I have seen your capabilities in a machine shop, so I don't know why it wouldn't it. It measeures 2" x 5 3/4", the same as the factory pedal.

I was fortunate enough to meet and talk with Pascual and Jody at the SEMA show. Guys, all the parts are awesome. I wanted to buy the '67 tail lights from the display and put them on my car! But Pascual said the tail lights were prototypes. I also noticed too as previously stated that many of the Camaros at the show were wearing Marquez Design tail lights. Good job Pascual to you and your crew. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

We're planning on black, greys, red, and tan as standard colors with most anything as a special order. The console plans have not been finalized but cup holders are a good idea.
