I am starting a down a dirty project soon and would like to have welding done. The last shop I worked at took all my tools and welders in a midnight shop closing and I have been thinking of a project for a bit now, I need to put an automatic in my truck and have thought of a different set up.
I would like to find a mobile welder to come to the house for the big part since I will be taking the truck out of commission during the build up but it has to happen in a short time and I cant afford to have it in a shop hostage situation. I will take it to the right shop but its not a huge job and have been turned away by a couple already.
When its done I will have a Toyota 22re/5 speed/ rear axle to sell or can use for partial payment.
Time line, I would like to do the chop/weld after the first of the year because I think I will need this time to gather parts and such.
Anyone have a home shop that could use some extra cash?
