I have my door pads off to clean and lube my door latches and thought I would finally
put a mirror on the passenger door before I button everything up. When I pulled the
drivers outside mirror off I noticed there is a pretty hefty piece of metal mounted to
the inside of the door that the mirror mounting bracket screws to putting the door skin
between them. I checked the passenger door and this piece is missing, probably because
there wasn't a mirror there.
Does anybody make these reinforcement brackets or am I on my own?

Kenova,
You probably will have to make your own plate.
I would drill holes in the bracket then glue
it to the under side of the door to hold it in place.
Also look at our Clear Shot Mirrors that will Eliminate the
Passenger side Blind Spot.No matter where you bolt any other
mirror you will not be able to adjust it in far enough to see the lane
beside you. You can get a discount by being a forum member.
Install our mirrors and you are Safe and you won't have to do it again.
No more floppy mirror and you can change lanes safely.

Thx

Check out a 70's or eighties car with a passenger mirror. I found some of the reinforcement plates will come off when you remove the mirror.
