It was his dad's who bought in '79 for $9K -- his dad took a greyhound to Texas with the money in a tool box -- -- Only the second time in four years he had driven it -- should of seen the commotion it caused -- even a Firetruck going up the street with its siren on had guys hanging out the window starring ....... It's 100% original total unrestored with mileage at about 65K... Oh it's a '70 Plymouth Super Bird 440ci with a 4 speed pistol grip hurst shifter

I remember a shop on the S.E side of Indy that had one sitting back in the early 80's. Had no clue what it was at the time. But, I knew it was Cool!

Looks like it was the ideal winged car, I'd rather have the 440 since the Hemi's were so temperamental. But $9k in 1979 was a good chunk of change then! I guess some people knew the future collectability at the time. Hard to believe a few years before they couldn't sell them, and had to take the wings off just to try and make them more appealing for a regular buyer!
