I'm looking for sway bar collar bolts(at least that's what i think they are called). The bolts that hold the sway bar to the subframe. I see a few catalogues like year one have them, but they look pretty basic like i could go to the local hardware/bolt store and pick em up. Anyone know the size and thread for a Nova?
Tried searching around but failed.

5/16" coarse thread grade 8 bolts. Get bolts with a smaller head if possible. Clearance to the mount is usually tight, so there's not much room for a socket.

Thanks for the info David. I don't see any threads on the subframe so I'm guessing I can just tap the subframe and call it a day?

The subframe should have threads. The only way it wouldn't is if the car didn't come with a sway bar from the factory, or they are stripped out. The factory screws in bolts that form their own threads when they attach the sway bar. You can't re- thread the holes to 3/8". There isn't enough metal to thread. The hole is swaged up into the frame like a tube. You would have to install a nut plate inside the frame rail.

Correct the car didn't come with a sway bar from the factory.
