Hello guys and welcome to the transition as i slowly transform my vehicle into an active pro-touring ride/cruiser. All events and updates will be posted here unless it doesnt fit the criteria of this section, so if you see anything you wanna give a word of advice or suggestion feel free to speak on it. keep in mind im new to the pro touring sport so as im building i am researching and learning at the same time. well enough about me lol!

Here i have a 1986 Monte Carlo SS that started out with intention to drag race then lost interest so i went full show and when you do the same thing every weekend and see the same crowds you start to get bored with the car and that part of the automotive lifestyle as well. Pro-touring has always been a eye catcher to me but didnt look into it enough to try it hands on until i seen a few videos and seen how strong the culture is. Anyways, 355 sbc, 200-4r trans, flowmaster exhaust, 7,5 rear, currently lowered 3 inches on 22 inch iroc wheels, few mods with the interior as well. short term plans for now is researching and start ordering new suspension parts (coilovers, control arms, etc.) and new wheels. Here are a few pics as she sit right now to give you all a starting point of this build. Hope all goes well and you all enjoy.

Had a few small issues with the carb so its the perfect time to clean up a few wires and route the fuel lines a bit cleaner!

Nice car from one show quality g-body owner to another.

Also nothing bad to say to someone changing up a nice car from someone who can 't leave well enough alone himself.

Wheels & tires are like shoes, a new style once in a while is a nice change.

The suspension & brakes our g-body's came with suck. I'm collecting parts right now such as ridetech bags & shocks, front arms, Metco billet rear arms, Ls1 brake upgrade , etc. No reason ya still can't have a showcar & have it handle,,,, with more power.

PS, I've read the next wheel trend may be bright colored powder coated wheels. 18's should be good.

Finally got around to getting more done underneath the hood today, to keep things updated and active i snapped more pics. I personally like the new location of the regulator and filter, leaves more room in the bay and less rubber around that hot header so its also safer in my book as well. More updates coming soon!

Before you start buying any suspension parts, you might consider visiting with Ron Sutton and have him help you develop a suspension upgrade plan like he did for Lance.
