Dynalite with 12.18 rotor
4 piston caliper

Or

Superlite with 12.88
4 piston caliper

What are the advantages/disadvantages of either.
Does one offer more durability, better braking? I bought a diff with a full setup included in the deal. Diff has the dynalites. I bought a new set of the superlite setup before the diff came into the picture. I could sell either one. Just don't know which. No road racing plans now but I want to build it right.

Car has front 12.88 six piston
Will be swapping 7/8 master for a 15/16 master

18" wheels

You didn't mention the piston area of the two calipers you're considering. That is the largest factor determining how much braking force they have. Get that & post on here when you get a chance.

Other than that, obviously the 12.88" rotor will provide about 5% more braking than the 12.19. The Superlite caliper is a slightly more rigid design than the dynalite, so all other things being equal, that increases the actual braking force & provides a firmer feel in the pedal. Lastly, is both rotors are .81" wide, as a lot of Wilwood street kits are, The 12.88" rotors weigh about 3/4 of a pound more ... which helps there heat management capabilities but adds to the rotational weight.

The Dynalite is a small caliper and has a smaller pad that even a stock D52 GM caliper, probably even the D154. A .81 rotor is thinner than most factory rotors also. Both OK for a drag car but might be going to less brake system than a factory setup.
