Just saw a car like my first, a 1966 Dodge Dart GT, but this one is V8, ac car, and its not white.
Also bad thing is i just got laid off so I couldnt even think of trying to buy it,,,and I have my two GM projects.
Now I really hope to sell the 1969 Ventura I have sitting at home to someone who will fix her back up..
Oh well, fun going home again so to speak.

My first running and driving car was a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury S/23. It was like the GT only with a 383 2bbl instead of the 440 Commando. Only ever saw one other and it was in a magazine.

You know even though I am a Chevy guy mostly if I could trade my 66 Caprice for the Dart I would in a NY second, just for nostalgia reasons, I forgot how BIG the rear seat was on one of them,,,,fond memories of good times. Back when kids could fool around and biggest worry was getting pregnant! Or caught by parents/cops/strangers (or if the gentleman preferred more robustly built ladies,,,) From Summer Catch, line by Mathew Lillard,,,"fat chicks are like mopeds, fun to ride but you dont want to get caught by your friends with one of them,,," No disrespect meant to ANY woman of any size.
But back to first car, Still have version of first V8 car, my 69 Ventura which needs a new home and some repair love.
And I could use cash being laid off.

I have yet to see another of my first car. even if I did I doubt it would have the option list mine had. Which was all that where available. Oh The car was a 1969 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron. The car was originally ordered by a dealership owner for his wife. So he checked every option box. 440 4 bbl, power everything, power windows including power vent window. split power front seats, pass with recline. It even had 2 dimmer switches on the floor, one for the headlights the other for the long distance scan on the radio. It had short distance scan too but on the radio itself. It even had sequential rear turn signals ( like Shelby mustangs and Cougars) So it can be considered a 1 of 1 car. Bought it for $250 from my uncle. Only problem was some surface rust starting under the body molding on the pass side. easy fix. this was circa 1982.

Gotta love the oddball cool cars. the one I liked was a 67 Suicide door Thunderbird, 390 4 bbl, console, buckets, white, dark blue interior ,sequential tail lights.
Dad thought it was too much car, first car was my 66 Dart GT, 6cyl, radio delete, buckets, console.
But year later I drove a 69 Pontiac Executive V8.
Heck if new position at work maybe i could buy the Dart,,,but hey thats dreaming and I have enough projects already,,,unless I win lottery.
