So I am considering using some CPP spindles on a 2nd gen Firebird project and needed to source the hubs. I took a trip over to Rock Auto to see what they had. Dang, prices range from $50 to $240. Sure they all look the same but I am certain there are critical manufacturing and quality differences. What experience do you guys have with any of these hubs? What sucks and what doesn't? I am sure what CPP sells with their spindles come from China. Any experience with those? Thanks for the input.

In researching the C4 hub thing, I found that there are millions of sources and price ranges, and that the main result was this: Everything breaks, whether it's from eBay or the opposite end of the price spectrum. You'll find years of discussion on the Corvette forums about this topic, and it seems that hubs from all sources are pretty much hit and miss. My solution was to just buy a relatively cheap set from Summit (rears) to have spares, along with some extra 1350 u-joints for my old-school C4 half-shafts. You might want to check Vorshlag for some decent racing-related (abuse) knowledge on the C4 and C5--they have race cars of both types (with engineers on the job) . . .
